Services, ChatGPT Ads

The conversation
engine.

Paid placement inside ChatGPT, where 400 million people research, compare and decide every week. Your ad appears at the point of intent, not beside it.

A new conversion layer

Advertising where the
thinking happens.

OpenAI launched advertising inside ChatGPT in February 2026 and opened a self-serve Ads Manager in May. Sponsored units sit below completed responses, clearly labelled and visually separated from the AI's answer.

There are no keywords to bid on and no demographic buckets to select. The platform reads conversational context: what the user is asking about, the intent behind the thread, and the topic being explored. Your ad surfaces when the conversation is relevant, not when someone types a phrase you guessed.

Only Free and Go tier users see ads. Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education subscribers see none. The audience skews toward people actively evaluating and comparing: precisely the moment most brands want to be present.

How the platform works

Intent-based targeting

Conversational context and intent signals, not keyword lists or lookalike audiences. Sensitive topics (politics, mental health, healthcare) are excluded automatically.

Post-response placement

Sponsored blocks appear below the completed answer. The user gets their response first; the ad follows as a relevant next step, not an interruption.

Privacy-first measurement

Conversions API and pixel tracking measure post-click actions without accessing individual conversations. Reporting is aggregated. Chat content is never shared.

The buying model

CPM bidding

Cost per thousand impressions. Useful for awareness and category presence inside a specific topic area.

CPC bidding

Cost per click, launched May 2026. Spend aligns directly with user action. You pay when someone chooses to engage.

Self-serve Ads Manager

OpenAI's portal at ads.openai.com handles budgets, bids, pacing, creative uploads and campaign reporting.

Partner ecosystem

Agency partners (Dentsu, Omnicom, Publicis, WPP) and technology partners (Adobe, Criteo, Kargo, Pacvue, StackAdapt).

Why Regent

Already running.
Already returning.

Regent has already run ChatGPT ad campaigns for retained clients and delivered positive ROAS. We are not pitching a theory. We are reporting on live performance.

ChatGPT ads reward a different discipline from search or social. There are no keywords to mine, no audience segments to layer, no creative A/B carousel to rotate. The lever is context: understanding which conversations your brand belongs in, what creative earns a click inside a text-first environment, and how to measure outcomes when the funnel starts inside an AI conversation rather than a search result.

We call it the conversation engine: a new conversion layer where the ad meets the user mid-thought, not mid-scroll. Our paid media team already manages Google, Meta, TikTok, Reddit, Snapchat, LinkedIn and Pinterest for retained clients, and ChatGPT ads slot into the same reporting, pacing and optimisation discipline inside Regent OS. One team, one dashboard, one weekly call.
