Luciana Zogbi is a wonderfully talented Lebanese-Brazilian singer with an international fanbase, having unintentionally gone viral with a cover of ‘All of Me‘, which garnered over 60 million views. Regent Branding’s mission was to make her a website worthy of her skills, so the first thing we did was purchase all her music and listen to it, to get a feel for her musical style, which would inform the website.
Firstly, we fleshed out the design of the site, working with Luciana on colour palette, typography and fonts. We wanted the website to showcase her musical talents as a centralised hub with a smooth user experience. We decided upon an elegant one-page website with a ‘mobile-first’ approach. Luciana also worked with us and provided a new logo which exuded clarity and elegance. In terms of SEO, we optimised the site and requested current websites that had done features on Luciana update their links to include her brand new website.
Luciana’s music was also available to stream straight from the site, and we incorporated a live social media wall of her facebook, instagram, twitter and youtube, as we were aware with how prolific she was with her fans across each platform.
During the project, we overcame several challenges. We noticed that Luciana’s music was taking a while to load, because it was lossless sound. To remedy this, we upgraded the website to a dedicated VPS, added a CDN (content delivery network) and heavily optimised the site to make it lean and quick, doing things like minifying the script and reducing image sizes.
We also added a music player at the bottom for easy access to music, meaning anything played had to load in under 2 seconds. We were successful in this, with her music loading nearly instantly and the sound quality remaining exceptionally high.
Luciana also added the new website to her social profiles, offering credibility both technically and personally.
After hard work and a lot of user testing, we launched Luciana’s website to amazing feedback. Luciana herself loved it, telling her fans on her social media profiles, who also shared her sentiment. In terms of SEO, we used the SEO Tunnel and ranked Luciana’s new website on the #1 spot on Google for her name, as well as ‘Lebanese Brazilian Singer’. Post-launch we worked with Luciana on uploading new videos to the site, with her mash-up of the popular ‘Despacito‘ exploding to 6 million views within a few weeks.
On a final note, Regent Branding thought Luciana was an absolute pleasure to work with, with her honesty, integrity and intuition all proving intrinsically valuable to the project.
